The commencement of Shataman Punyatithi Mahotsava of H.H Shrimath Varadendra Thirtha Swamiji (18th Pontiff of Shree Kashi Math Samsthan) to be celebrated from 25th June 2014 to 29th June 2014.This started with prayers being offered by H.H Shrimath Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji,Mathadhipati of Shree Kashi Math Samsthan at the Sannidhi of H.H Shrimath Madhavendra Thirtha Swamiji’s Jeevanta Samadhi (7th Pontiff).An enlarged portrait of H.HShrimath Varadendra Thirtha Swamiji was placed before the Jeevanta Samadhi where H.H Shrimath Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji offered prayers for ensuing the success of the Shataman Punyatithi Mahotsav. H.H Shrimath Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji gave prasad for the welfare of entire Goud Saraswath Samaj across India and rest of the world. This portrait will be taken to Andikadavu (Birthplace of H.H Shrimath Varadendra Thirtha Swamiji). A Guru-Rath adorned with the same potrait, its procession will be taken out from Andikadavu on 28th December 2013. The rath will reach Cochin Thirumala Devaswom after having graced all the Religious centres of our community in the vicinity with Swagat Devguru Aarti,Stuti,Naman,Guru Gunagaan and Prasad. And lastly the Rath will also move from places of all the associates in and around Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Mumbai to reach Walkeshwar Shri Kashi Math on an auspicious day which will be conveyed in due course. Also any Anushtan Seva performed with self discipline with one’s own conscience as his testifying witness is the best offering that can be given to a Guru. Therfore its envisaged that such self-disciplined Anushtan Seva to be performed towards our Guru.
